Tanganyiki Yeekers -- related real life birds

Recently I visited someone, and heard some very loud, screeching birds
nearby.  They were coming from 2 moderate size birds in a cage outside
a neighboring apartment.  This was the worst bird noise I've heard in a
long time.  Then I remembered hearing this noise before when I read
Barks' second Magica story, "The Unsafe Safe" (US38).  The Tanganyiki
Yeekers in that story are much larger than the birds I saw in this cage,
and I didn't see any broken glass windows at their apartment.  But I'm
sure these birds are closely related to Barks' Yeekers.
