Hi all!
Here are the previews for the Disney comics coming out in April 2006 from
Previews Volume XVI #2:
Donald Duck and Friends #339 --- Carl Barks classic Donald Duck Adventure,
"In Ancient Persia," is the featured attraction in this month's issue, together
with a cover illustarting the tale by Dutch master Daan Jippes (Note that this
may be a mistake as the cover shown advertises/illustrates Carl Barks' The
Easter Election, not In Ancient Persia). A Beagle Boys short story, "Payback,"
by Pat and Shelly Block and Maria Nunez, round out this spectacular edition. 32
pages, FC $2.95
Mickey Mouse Adventures #9 --- Fan favorites Byron Erickson and Massimo
Fecchi bring us "Fatal Distraction," in which Mickey intervenes in a crime
competition between Pegleg Pete and... Pegleg Pete?! In Dave Rawson's "Soap Dope,"
Donald tries his hand at starring in soap operas, and in Andreas Pihl's "Ticket
to Bong," Pete struggles to reform while on an African treasure hunt. SC, 7x10,
128 pages, FC $7.95
Mickey Mouse and Friends #288 --- Donald D. Markstein and Fabrizio Pedrocchi
team up to bring you the month's two-part Mickey adventure, "The Power of the
Gods." And Pat and Carol McGreal and Vicar join forces once again on the much
anticipated sequel to their "Battle Beasties" story, "Battle for the Battle
Beasties." 32 pages, FC $2.95
Uncle Scrooge #353 --- Scrooge, Donald and the kids track down a rare
painting in the 44-page German epic, "The Great Paint Robbery." Then Gyro "Builds a
Better House" in the Carl Barks classic of the same name; and Jeff Hamill and
Vicar bring us a modern Scrooge adventure in "Tutu Traumatic." SC, 7x10, 64
pages, FC $6.95
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #668 --- "Duck in Luck," a 10-page Donald
Duck story by Daan Jippes, leads this issue, followed by Mickey Mouse in "The
Robot Wrestling League," by Donald D. Markstein and Rodriques; a Carl Barks
Daisy story; a Romano Scarpa L'il Bad Wolf story; and "Moonstruck," part three of
our Formula One series. SC, 7x10, 64 pages, FC $6.95
Slave Labor Graphics:
Tron: The Ghost in the Machine #1 --- Inspired by Tron, Disney's
groundbreaking science-fiction motion picture classic, Tron #1 takes place in present day,
over two decades after the events of the film. Jet Bradley, son of the
original Tron programmer Alan Bradley, has recently escaped the computer world. But
his experiences within cyberspace have left him emotionally scarred -- vivid
nightmares plague him, and he's become paranoid and unstable. He shuns
technology wherever possible, leaving him effectively crippled in the modern world.
And now something within the computer world wants him back. Exploring the
fast-paced action from the hit film and recent videogame, plus the impact of
experiencing the cyberworld on the human psyche, this series starts a thrilling new
chapter in the Tron saga! 24 pages, FC $3.50
