Thank you Per for creating the list and maintaining it, and to NAFS(k) for
continuing to do so.
The monthly reminder of the account login has been bittersweet for several
years now: it was the only activity on the list, but it showed it was still
there, and with it the possibility of new discussions.
I'm very sad various circumstances made us all drift apart from the list,
and hope the reasons were mostly happy ones, or that things have improved
for you.
I know discussion boards have been created, and wish I had been able to
keep contributing to one of them. To me, the DCML seemed to be the core of
it all, though, and remains my starting point (in 1996, I believe).
It was a great place for information, with a bit of fun (quotation games)
and humor, thanks to the very fine people on the list.
A sad irony is we have been blessed with lots of anthologies (some for the
first time) and collections (complete sets of Barks, Rosa, and Gottfredson
stories; plus books with comics by Murry, Scarpa, Bottaro, ...) over the
past dozen years or so, yet the discussions dwindled as this treasure trove
expanded.
A funny glitch occurred "a long time ago" (2000s): someone's message was
stamped years ahead-- 2016? I don't remember; we've passed that point in
time, in any case.
Thank you all for the great moments on this list!
Best wishes,
Olivier

(regarding your signature quotation, Per: I love the Flipism story! a silly
premise, a funny story, a great ending)
